Week 7


        This is the week that we have done two things in a row which is visiting the schools for invitation as well as second presentation for us regarding the proposal of the CBL. The school visited that day was SMK Seri Serdang where we need to ask them for the invitation to send their students to participate the educational program event in UPM. Unfortunately, the school needs an official letter from the Pejabat Pendidikan Daerah as the green light for them to join the program in UPM before accepting the invitation. As we informed these situation to Dr Baity, she asked us meet Dr. Lai as he is the person in charge for all the letters needed for this CBL project event. So, that was the solution for that matter.

          The second thing that we have done was the second presentation. The presentation was about the improved activities that we have been selected for the event and still there were some improvement needs to add to synchronizing the level of the activities with the secondary school students. All the presentation went better that the first presentation where this time the activities almost clear and completed to be done for the students especially. My favours activity was about designing transgenic plants by using educational based learning games about GMOs or transgene plants.

        Two things done in a row was not as easy as we need to be patient and keep calm and innovative. Last but not least, the CBL’s progress will continuing to be updated to make the project successful.

Week 4

        This is our first presentation week after all discussion about activities that we want to conduct for the student. We are actually been informed by Dr. Baity that we need to presenting the activities that we have chosen for the GMOs project activity as well as give an update regarding the progression of the CBL project.          In the presentation, we have proposed four activities that we want to do for the students in this CBL project which is follows the topics from our first lecture. While presenting the ideas of activities, Dr. Baity gives us her feedback to improves some of it as well as give an additional to the activities.          The reason why Dr. Baity wants us to present the selected activities is because she considered it as an early proposal to her so she can understand the objective of each of the activities proposed to her. Week 5

          In this week of class, we discussed about the schools that we want to invite. We listed all the schools that probably may accept the invitation from us to take the opportunity for their student about sciences especially plant sciences. Our most priority schools was the adopted schools that always accepting the invitation from our faculty. The schools are SMK Jalan 3, SMK Sri Serdang and SMK Seri Kembangan.           After deciding the schools, we try to make a contact with them as soon as possible so it would lesser the burden for us. The many the schools, the easier for us to have a backup plan because we have to complete this CBL project to gain the marks.          While deciding the schools to be invited, we are also have an additional discussion regarding the e-portfolio via online blog that need to be done as the reflective journal as well as reports of progression for the CBLs’.
